Proposition 8 = HATE. Did God teach you to hate and judge others so much? WWJD?

What would Jesus Do?  Would Jesus have donated money to fund a campaign of hate against God's children?  A campaign full of lies and deception?  I think that he would not.  The center of most of your beliefs is a kind and just God.  Someone who loves all his children, not just the unhappy few who deem themselves more righteous than the rest of us.  HOW DARE YOU JUDGE ME!   "Judge not, lest ye be judged."  So... all of you that judged....are you ready to be judged?  I have seen you on TV saying "I didn't know anyone would find out that I Donated."  "People are ruining my business, with boycotts."

I think you are being judged.  Not by those of us who won't spend our hard earned money at your businesses any longer, but by the greater powers that be.

You are being punished in a karmically correct way.  You judged us.  Now let's see if you do OK without our money spent on your businesses.....(I Guess you should have saved some of your donation money to bail you out now....was it worth it?)

Personally I Love the website showing me all the people and businesses that donated to this hateful, antigay, Nazi prisoncamp reminding, proposition-8.  Those of you who think I and MY HUSBAND are secondclass citizens that do not deserve to enjoy the same civil rights that you and your spouse enjoy, should look forward to condemnation in the afterlife not joy and rapture.

Here is a link to those contributors to the hate.  www.antigayblacklist.com   I am glad they published such a list.  I would hate to be doing business with someone who is only after my money.  Someone who is smiling and shaking my hand while in the back of their mind is hating me and can't wait for me to get out of their store so they can make politically incorrect  statements about me.  I travel the US setting up flower shops,  Currently setting one up in Nebraska, and realized that there are nebraska businesses on the list too....wow glad i read the list, I could have accidentally given some of my "GAY Money" to this business that is so anti-gay that they wired money to change the laws in another state.  their name is  "Country View Farms / Pierce, NE / $2,500" they wont be seeing , not one penny of our money...don't give them yours either.  We ask that everyone gay, everyone with friends and family that are gay, everyone that simply cares for their fellow man, to stop patronizing these businesses on that list immediately.  They are using the money we spend with them to fund HATE and BIGOTRY.  Let's cut their funds off at the source...our wallets and our purses.

If your name is on the list, then stand up for what you have done.  Don't slink away and hide.  God sees you, and he knows the darkness in your soul.

By the way....God is LOVE.

Scooters Coffee on 11th and O St. = Not where you want to go for coffee.....

All I wanted was a morning cup of coffee.  So, I walked down the street to Scooters on 11th and O streets. (there are 2 scooters coffe houses in downtown Lincoln within a few blocks of each other, so i want to be sure you know the one on the corner of 11th and O Street is the one I am talking about.)

It's a game saturday so downtown is a sea of red ...and packed.  I made my way past all the red and got to scooters, the line was out the door (literally) I almost left, but figured the other 2,000 coffeehouses in downtown lincoln would be equally as full and hectic.  So I stood in line.  I stood there listening to the most inane conversations that anyone could listen too without screaming and running from the room.

Finally I am close enough to see the counter and read the menus....and what's this?...Some lady just waltz's past us all and gets served at the counter (which is closed) off to the right....The employees stop helping the man at the proper register and rings up the lady which has cut us all off. (bad mark # 1)

Finally I order my simple...plain...large....coffee.  I pay, and step to the side and wait. And wait....and wait.....and wait.... finally, after the 4th person behind me is served some wierd mocha latte chai coffee thingy ... I approach the counter and ask "Now that you served everyone behind me in line can I have the plain coffee that I ordered.?"  Without apology, without remorse, without a refund, and without a smile, the girl says "Oh" and pours me a coffee and thrusts it across the counter at me as if I am bothering her because she is too busy chatting with another customer (who hasn't paid yet).   It makes me wonder...did I get horrible service because... (A) I wasn't in a red shirt?  or (B) Scooter's doesnt care about customer service, just your money?  or  (C) All of the above?

I vote (C) All of the above!  With nothing in the downtown of the city of Lincoln except Bars, Sub Shops, and Coffee Houses..... I can Guarantee that scooters will not recieve another dime from me as long as i live.

With this much competition in such a small geographic area, a company can't afford to shun customers with horrible customer service.  I will just walk one block in any direction and discover a new coffee house to give my daily money to.

Sad to say but my morning coffee habit is on average $35 a week.  Scooters must be doing so good that they don't need my steady, daily flow of cash.  If I include Shawn going with me, thats another $35 a week, and we usually go for coffee in the evening with his mom at least 3 nights a week thats another 45$.

So....Could any other coffe shop in Lincoln use our average of $115 a week on coffee house beverages?<< MORE >>

Opening Day at the Nebraska State Fair

We had fun.  It's sad that the powers that be are moving the state fair from Lincoln to Grand Island.  I believe that this will cut in half or better, the amount of attendees.  People from Grand Island will drive the 45 minutes to go to the fair in Lincoln, and the people in Omaha will drive the 30 to 45 minutes to go to the fair in Lincoln.  I do not believe that the Omaha population will drivethe 2 hours to Grand Island to attend the fair.  Less people going to the fair = less revenue generated by the fair = smaller fair and carnival in the following years.  I believe it will eventually fade away as so many have.  The midway and the carnival are revenue generators, so why move it to a less populated area.  Omaha and Lincoln kids and families go almost every night to the carnival.  Do they really think that Grand Islands fewer inhabitants will spend double or triple to make up the difference in the number of attendees.  I think not. I think this is the dumbest thing Nebraska has done since....since voting not to let the Riverboat Casino's dock on our side of the river. (Iowa has raked in the rewards [and Nebraskans money] for letting the boats call Council Bluffs home.)

[shawn steps down from his soapbox]

Anyways, we had a great time at opening day of the state fair here in Lincoln.  We went with Shawn's mom Paula and met up with her husband Bill there.  We didnt see the concert, but we will go back again this weekend.

here are some pictures, a few are blurry but we did have a few glasses of wine at the wine bar.<< MORE >>

Lancaster County Fair Watermelon Feed

We had a great time going to the Lancaster County Fair.  Every year they have a "Free Watermelon Feed".  It has become tradition in Shawn's family to attend this free event.  I have never seen so much watermelon consumed by so many people in one place.  It was alot of fun.  Apparently the watermelons are donated, and everyone eats as much as you can possibly stuff in your face.  A good time was had by all.  Mmmm MMMM  Good!

Here are a few pictures....

Celebrate Lincoln! Ethnic Festival

Shawn and I, along with our friends Chris, Cara, and their children, and Shawn's mom Paula and her husband Bill attended the opening day of the Celebrate Lincoln, ethnic festival.

The festival is June 20th and 21st, 2008 from 11 AM to 11:30 PM on N street between 12th and 14th streets in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska.  Admission was $3.00 adults and $1.00 for children 12 and under.

There were bands, food and drinks, games, shopping, and lots of alcohol for the adults (alcohol is a very popular venue to lure nebraska's adult population out to events)

for more information go to www.celebratelincoln.org

We had a BLAST!  There was mechanical bullriding, crazy hairdo's, obstacle courses, velcro wall jumps, slides, and a host of other attractions that kept the crowds (and shawn and the kids) entertained.

Here are some pictures of us and the kids having fun......

Our Tour of The Governor's Mansion in Lincoln Nebraska

Shawn and I decided to take a tour of the Governor's Mansion today.  It was quite nice.  We called ahead and let them know that we were coming and that it would soon be Shawn's birthday.  When we arrived, there was a birthday card waiting for Shawn, from Governor Dave Heineman himself.  We were then given a private tour of the mansion.  Below are several pictures of the interior and the exterior of the mansion, the gardens, and of course the birthday card.  A very entertaining and informative tour, that didn't cost a thing.  Worth the time.

In Memory of Dean Shelor

{br}}It is a great pleasure to have known Dean Shelor.  Both of us will have fond memories of Dean that will last a lifetime.  He brought great joy and companionship to someone we both hold very dear to our hearts, Grandma Pat.  Dean was a passionate man and always spoke passionately about the things that were important to him.  We would sit for hours on end listening to his stories from his childhood to his legislature days.

Shawn, of course, knew him longer than I but we both felt a deep bond to Dean.  He was a kind, caring man, with concern and compassion in his heart for the welfare of others.

He will be missed.

here is a link to his obituary http://www.dodgeglobe.com/obituaries/x822800901/E-Dean-Shelor

Here are some pictures of Dean that we had recently taken......

The Democratic Party loses yet another vote.

I will never understand why Hillary isn't the nominee.  Hillary is ahead in the popular vote, yet Obama gets the nomination.  Something is very fishy on capitol hill.

Why should anyone vote at all???

The popular vote doesn't ever seem to matter.  Our votes don't  count for anything.

The people want Hillary!

Both Shawn and I will be casting our votes for McCain.  No way in Hell would we ever vote for someone so obviously racist and shady as Obama, to run this country.  Not that we think voting for McCain will matter if the people that really run this country want Obama to be president.  as we said before....Votes don't matter!

Votes didn't matter in the last 2 elections, where the popular vote was ignored.

Although voting for McCain is strictly out of spite, We don't believe that he will be a good president either, but at least he isn't a lieing racist.  Hillary is the only one that has the experience and the...gumption to run this country and clean up all the problems caused by the previous administration.

This country is no longer FREE or GREAT.  Enjoy the NEW America

VOTE MCCAIN!  Just to piss off the Democrats!

Summer Concert Series at Southpointe Pavilions Mall

We enjoyed a friday out at the SouthPointe Pavilions Mall Summer concert Series. Every friday a free concert is performed to get people to flock to an otherwise unattended outdoor mall.  The weather seldom is nice enough in Nebraska for an outdoor mall, but what the hey!

We enjoyed this early evening performance, as the weather at the beginning of the summer is reasonable.
The Band was D-Funk, a local flavor.  They were actually pretty good.

Here are some pictures and a very funny video of the event.

Foodnet in Lincoln Nebraska is trying to poison the poor and the needy...I am sure this is in someway illegal...

So, as most of you know, We have fallen on hard times (like most of the country).

We have even needed to seek help from local and national charitable organizations.  None of these organizations want to really help 2 guys in their 30's with no children.  No matter our past, or our pride, the plain truth is we need the food.  We either go to the foodbank or starve.  It's as simple as that.

Now we have went to the "FoodNet"  an organization that even in its motto "Tummy Fill, not Landfill" tells you that they are giving you garbage.

YES!  GARBAGE!   Food that is unfit for human consumption.  Food that has been mandatorily removed from the grocery store shelves because it is expired.

We have gotten ..... consistently....

Milk that is over 1 week out of date
    Bread that is molded
    Vegetables that are molded
Frozen sausage that was 3 months out of date
Eggs that are brown and smelly
    Bags of brown salad lettuce
and tons of stale cakes, cookies, and doughnuts......

Nothing nutritious......and you are forced to take what you get...an all or nothing situation.

The whole time you are at these places, some snotty ladies running the place are yelling...nay, barking at you as if you are a kindergardner in your very first lunch line.  They actually attempt to make you feel bad for needing to be there.  They attempt to strip you of your dignity, while handing out food that they themselves would never consume, nor would they serve it to their family or friends.

Here is a list of these deviant organizations calling themselves FOODNET,  oddly enough they are all churches.

Calvary United Methodist, Lakeview United Methodist, Seward United Methodist, Grace United Methodist, Lincoln Christian Fellowship, Southview Christian Church, Havelock United Methodist, Cristo Rey Catholic, Heartland Bible Church, Trinity United Methodist, Middle Cross Church, and St. Johns of Krandstadt Church.

I strongly encourage anyone that is hungry or poor and needs food to beg on the street for handouts before going to one of these places that in our opinion have sinister motives behind their so called charitable offerings.

They are trying to kill off the poor.  Trying to get rid of the less desireables through food poisoning.

If you would like to express your thoughts on giving rotten food to the needy, here are some links to these organizations websites....
